Ingame live traffic is a joke.
Fly on VATSIM (especially in your area!) to get high. (lol)

odd, I fly with Live traffic, and it’s working as expected. Plenty of planes in the air and on the ground.

I actually saw a plane land in Madrid and another taxiing yesterday. Havent compared it to flightradar etc yet, but certainly appears to be more than before.
lol live traffic doesn’t work as expected the logic is terrible there’s half of the planes than in FlightAware where is the source for live traffic, due to logic problem with ai traffic logic makes you have to go around many times some with ai traffic that tries to land over 3 times but they can land cause one traffic takes over 4 minutes to vacate the runway, etc
When comparing with flightradar, MSFS will always lose at the moment due to limitations in the engine.
Fair enough. This is something I assume will improve over time. In this respect, I’m in no hurry…

I was responding to someone who said the were getting no planes at all with live traffic enabled, and said that for me it was working as expected (as in, I have plenty of aircraft in the air and on the ground with live traffic).
Does that mean there are no issues with it, and it doesn’t need improvement, of course not. But it is working.
I can imagine that especially map data eats lots of ressources, especially on the CPU side. Understandable that adding more traffic might make the overall fps experience much worse.
I’m also confident that this will improve over time.
Also, I’m repeating myself but I really want the full experience of getting stuck in ground traffic at KJFK and things like that at some point.
Yeah me too. When I added UT2 to FSX back in the day, my enjoyment of that sim went up 100%. Makes such a huge difference to airliner flying when you have holding patterns, follow aircraft on final etc etc.

that not true there’s a freeware plugin from p3d that work with msfs that inject live traffic from flight radar and you can see the same traffic from the radar and in msfs the problem is that is too much live traffic so when the planes land due they change the transponder so the plane disappear and appeared and teleports after landing the msfs live traffic has over 15 minutes delay so can avoid this to happens but the logic and amounts of plane need increase
Well, at least I have to go around on a regular basis because some random simmer comes in back course completely ignoring weather and ATC. It helps a lot with my procedure training.

OK, and the post is about live traffic not AI traffic. And I’ve looked into live traffc extensively and it does work with all planes represented.

some times work but the most time there’s fewer amounts of planes, compare FlightAware, in USA use to be ok but in other places especially Asia is terrible i not sure why they don’t add all live traffic but i guess is like the weather they said was working but they have to doo many fixes so i pretty sure they even didn’t check ai traffic yet
