I have a MSFS 2020, license purchased in Microsoft site. It was purchased few days after the launch of the software, so I’ve got a long time of experience on it.
It worked fine too, nil problems until one week ago.
Then suddendly I lost connection with Internet. I mean, my PC is normally connected, but my FS doesn’t get to connect at all.
I had never had such a problem, even though I always used to experience short periods (seconds) of disconnection that normalized very fast; never longer than 30 seconds. It used to happen once-twice a week or so.
This time the Simulator started one day in disconnection and has kept disconnected even until today!
All the other applications that need Internet outside MSFS work fine on my PC; in fact, now I am working on the same PC.
Can you give me some troubleshooting map to find why can’t I update my MSFS edition?
Did I get strayed on the “Safe Mode” by mistake, perhaps? (I’ve never used it, but I imagine it works without connection and as everytime you close the MSFS the wrong way, next opening it offers you the chance to open in “Safe Mode”, maybe I unwittingly pushed the wrong button…).

Also resetting Gaming Services app from windows settings helps. Besides, are you using a VPN or sort of?
Did you try logging out and in again in the Xbox app?
Have you checked under general settings, data to make sure your connected?
My dear cyber pilots, Never thought such a rapid response. I will follow your advices.
