Hi, I have a question. I want to buy the Deluxe version of the game on PS5 and later upgrade to the Premium Deluxe version. Is that possible? And how much extra would I have to pay? Thanks.
Yes it is possible but the price for upgrading later is an extra whammy. Best to get the version you want from the getgo. I dont know what the upgrade price is in the marketplace as I already own the pre delu. version. It would be almost as much again as the version you bought now. Folk are complaining about it but it wont change - so if you can, get the version you want now.

I do not see so far any info about upgrade possibility for PS5 variants. Are they planning this opportunity at all? Be careful. If money question is not principal, better take the Premium Deluxe.
But there is one more thing to think about. Ask those who already have Premium Deluxe content does this content work any good.
They promised us (PC an XBox users) that we could purchase content from the higher versions individually. But it does not 100% correct yet, because not all the content is available via Store because (IMHO, I do not insist) it is not still compatible with MSFS2024 even if it is an original 2024 model (B747-400 for example is missing from the shop ). They add this content slowly, very slowly.
So, check what the PD content is available already in the shop and if the item you are looking for is there, stay may be with Deluxe and bye the content individually, one-by one from the shop. If not or if you need all the content - take PD, otherwise no one knows when we have the opportunity to purchase them individually from the shop. Buying the full edition is the most cost-effective way to get the Premium Deluxe version. Upgrade bundles cost too much IMHO.
Yes the offer is in the MP in PS5 to upgrade. Which is why get the whole version now. The individuals are going to be a while coming. They are so busy trying to get BSU4 and PS5 up and running.
I bought the PS5 version because I was curious, I know these are in the MP.
While it’s most likely possible to upgrade it’s not a favorable option as the overall price will be higher.
Alternatively what you could consider is to buy individual aircraft of the deluxe and premium deluxe pack if you are not interested into everything. If you don’t want to use all the small prop driven aircraft you could for instance only buy the airliners on top of the standard edition.
For this you’d have to consider what you really want and also you’d have to check what the individual aircraft cost.
If you anyway plan on buying premium addon aircraft like from iniBuilds and third party scenery you may even want to skip most of the default stuff from the editions.

I just checked with our Production team, and they confirmed that it will be possible to purchase an edition upgrade (e.g. Standard To Aviator Edition or – in your case – Deluxe to Premium Deluxe) from the in-sim Marketplace on PlayStation. These edition upgrade packs are not yet available in the Marketplace, but they’re set to release next week following the launch of Standard Edition on PS5.
Also, as other posters have mentioned above, it’s most economical to buy the edition you want first, so if you’re 100% certain you want the Premium Deluxe Edition, your best bet is to buy that version now rather than buying Deluxe and then upgrading to Premium Deluxe later.

So I was scrolling through the market place and to upgrade from deluxe to aviator, its $200?!? After I already spent $100 on the deluxe?
Yes, probably. It is in 3 parts, each costing extra. Sadly, this is how they market upgrades.. It is always advisable with msfs 2024 to have bought the edition you wanted first time out.
At some point, they might just offer individual planes for sale.

I also only see the 2 packages you mention in the marketplace.
I am sure this must be a problem and would raise a ticket with zendesk and/or do a bug report. I can’t see why MS would not want their upgrade to be in the MP unless the moderators know something we do not.

I concur with @Pilotfirst9999 that you should contact the zendesk - click on “Sim Support” at the top of the page:
I do not know which upgrade packages are available for PS5, but the folks at the zendesk would know & be able to assist you.
I have done as recommended. Problem will be reviewed, then passed to development team (if able to replicate) and once a fix is ready it will be included in a patch. Given above, the ticket has been resolved.
On the other hand, email said that if my problem has not been addressed I should reopen incident. If addressing equals assuring of the above, then let’s treat it as resolved. Maybe better that money stayed in my pocket 
Depends on how badly you want to fly some of those aircraft. If you only want 1 of them then buy it individually if it ever becomes available on its own in the MP. There is no guarantee of that.
I know for myself, once my head decides it wants an aircraft I get a hole in my pocket that won’t go away until I buy it.
