my system is a RTX 4080 super, 12700KF, 64 GB RAM, no OC
I fly MSFS2024 with mostly high settings, FG on and I achieve normally always stable 60 FPS (monitor is also just 60hz, so that is ok) and my GPU has only a usage of around 60 to 80%
Now, when I start a flight in night and stand at the apron and the scenery is illuminated by the apron floddlights, my GPU runs at 100%.
If I change time and day (daylight) so that the apron floodlights are off, everything is back to normal. Or when I leave the region where the floodlights shine, e.g. when pushing back.
The above usage also results in a frame drop of course.
Beside this, I have no problem, super fluid and good performance.
But that is the only situation my GPU is taking all power.
Anyone has any idea whats probably wrong?
Any 3rd party floodlight replacements with better performance?
Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL graphics card drivers and packages from your system, trying to remove all leftovers (including registry keys, folders and files,…
with DLSS 310.5 I made the switch finally to DLSS, away from TAA.
display ghosting is still there, but a lot less then beofre. I can live with it now.
I use preset M, you have to fiddle a bit what is the best option on your system.
Overall I’m now very satisfied with DLSS, first time I keep it, first time it is better then TAA here.
And with it, the floodlight high GPU usage is gone.
No difference now
