High GPU usage at night with apron floodlights

Hello,

hope someone has a hint for me how to solve that:

my system is a RTX 4080 super, 12700KF, 64 GB RAM, no OC

I fly MSFS2024 with mostly high settings, FG on and I achieve normally always stable 60 FPS (monitor is also just 60hz, so that is ok) and my GPU has only a usage of around 60 to 80%

Now, when I start a flight in night and stand at the apron and the scenery is illuminated by the apron floddlights, my GPU runs at 100%.
If I change time and day (daylight) so that the apron floodlights are off, everything is back to normal. Or when I leave the region where the floodlights shine, e.g. when pushing back.

The above usage also results in a frame drop of course.

Beside this, I have no problem, super fluid and good performance.
But that is the only situation my GPU is taking all power.

Anyone has any idea whats probably wrong?
Any 3rd party floodlight replacements with better performance?

many thanks

Oh, and I use TAA

I tried now every singe setting in game and theres no difference

Turn off Light Shafts in the settings.
Also, please mention your NVIDIA driver version, you didn’t include it.

thx for answering

As I said - every setting - and yes, light shafts also. No difference

Driver: 581.94, but o difference the last months despite what driver.
i have this problem since a long while.

DLSS 310.5, but also: no difference

As I have asked others users now and they have it also, I will file this as bug.

Can any moderators file this as bug, please.
Or how do I transfer it now avoiding double posts?

thx

why especially this one?

Why such an old driver?

I need a bit more information why exactly this driver should solve that problem.

This is the last stable driver for 10/20/30/40xx GPUs. I recommend testing on this version to avoid issues present in newer drivers.

I use a later driver and it is 100% stable …
And I do not read about a lot of other users which have a bad opinion about current drivers.

So, sorry, but that is a bit of too less evidence other then its your opinion?

but thx for answering

Hi, I have the same problem than you, did you found ani solutions?

Thank you
