Citrix Workspace Update installs a virtual GPU. If you choose for screen protection during install, all games will use the virtual GPU. The virtual CPU has no 3D accelleration and games can not be played.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up of relevant:
Windows 11, Ryzen 9 3950X, 32MB, Nvidia 1080Ti

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
1.21.13.0

I just found out that a Citrix Workspace update 21.9.1.4048(2019.1) makes it impossible to play games. Do not choose screen protection during installation and turn off Citrix Indirect Display Adapter via Device Manager.

I encountered this problem right after installing Nvidia drivers 497.09, but these drivers don’t seem to have anything to do with it.

It is possible that users are having a similar issue after installing SU7, depending on when they installed this Citrix Workspace

This sounds like an issue that needs to be reported elsewhere rather than on the MSFS Forums as it isn’t an issue with the sim but with Citrix Workspace.

I have moved the post to #self-service:pc-hardware as this seems to be a more sutiable location for the thread.

There have been mentions of the citrix software causing problems in a number of posts on this forum over the past year or so.

If I was being asked to work from home I’d ask my employer to supply me with a suitable PC used soley for that task.

Same here. Most companies I know wouldn’t want sensitive company data stored on private computers anyway.

I have been working remotely full-time for over 20 months. The very purpose of software like Citrix and other remote-work environments is precisely to keep sensitive data out of your local computer and keep it on the secure remote server. The only data stored locally is screen buffer display data and sometimes an encrypted asset bundle that acts as a local cache.
