Honeycomb Aeronautical Charlie rudder pedals

Just saw an article about AERO 2022 at Fselite.net
It seems we got some new dates now:

Charlie pedals should be on pre-order in July (shipping in August)
Alpha XPC shipping in July
XBOX-Hub July too.

I’m waiting for these

Woohoo! I can’t wait to be able to pre-order them. Can’t have the Alpha, Bravo, and NOT the Charlie!

Holding out for the Zulu here

What is XPC Alpha?

It’s great that They are finally getting these products to market, but I do think they need to also focus on their abysmal customer service.

Improved alpha with better sensors and a spring loaded starter. I’m not sure anything else is known yet.

Oh and Xbox compatible

This. 100%. I love their products, but their customer service really needs improvement.

(edit) Finally got in touch with the manager of customer service. They acknowledged the delays and are working with me. :+1:

I just checked Sporty’s Pilot Shop and they’re not listed there. (That’s where I got my Alpha / Bravo)

Honeycomb website Shows pre-orders July 15th, 2022.

What a rig!

Has anyone heard anything further about the Charlie
Rudder Pedals. We were supposed to be able to preorder yesterday (July 15) but the link never became available on Honeycomb’s website.

Looks like potential manufacturing delays?

I just checked the Honeycomb site as well. I thought they were supposed to be around $300, or did I miss something?

I ordered my Alpha / Bravo from Shorty’s Pilot Shop. I don’t see it for ordering there yet.

Honeycomb raised their prices.

Unfortunately, such is life. It is pretty rare that we ever see the price stay steady or go down.

Bit late reply, but IMO the really interesting part was the shot at the box of the hub. It indicated direct compatibility with the Xbox for the following:

Alpha XPC (duh)
Sigma Flight Stick (the second stick they announced in 2021)
Foxtrot Flight Stick (the first stick announced in 2020 and not heard of since)
Zeta

At first I thought Honeycomb simply replaced the Foxtrot with Sigma, but might they actually be working on two sticks? You could easily see the need. A basic stick (at 100 Sigma is probably going to be basic) and more premium one with features lifted from the boutique brands, such as support for centerless/springless use (for helicopters) out of box.

And what is “Zeta”? A button/radio box? A collective?

And lastly the Xbox hub itself indicates support for some Logitech-Saitek gear, the throttle (probably meaning the three axis throttle quadrant rather than the HOTAS ones) and the pedals. Honeycomb’s website doesn’t say a word on that.

Pre-order placed. Expected launch date 28th October 2022. (Australia)
AUD 648.00

I guess I’m pretty reluctant to preorder from anywhere besides Honeycomb until I hear something from them on the delayed preorder date.

I’m starting to think the Charlie pedals are vaporware, for the last year Virpil has shown backorder. I can’t find whether that means it’s just going to take longer or if that means it’s not coming. With the Euro currently at $1.02 it finally makes the Virpil option at least as good or better value than Charlie. Has anyone ordered Virpil and received them in the last few months?
