Good day,
I have both the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo and I want to make sure I pass this on to all who are expecting there devices soon. Please use the mounting brackets. My alpha is using the sticky pad and is solid. My Bravo has fallen off my desk twice with only the sticky pad used. Fortunately this thing is built very well and nothing is broken but I am now using the brackets to secure it better. The trim wheel did come off but was easily mounted back on with no issues.
Thats a shame, Im still waiting for my Bravo to arrive, my desk wont take the clamps as it has a lip, the Alpha has been great with the sticky pad, Ill have to figure something else out for the Bravo, Thanks for the heads up!
I used the brackets initially, to determine where I wanted things, then once the decision was made, I screwed the mounting plates directly to the top of the desk (since this was a purpose specific desk for flight simulation only) and removed the brackets. Not having the clamp and knobs protruding under the desk gave me more room for the keyboard drawer too. Previously the keyboard was on top of my Alpha, but now there are two Logitech Radio units on top of the Alpha, and one Logitech Multi Panel on top of the Bravo, so the keyboard went underneath.

I have the Alpha and received my Bravo a few weeks ago. There was a warning sheet included that said not to use the sticky pads long term. I had started using them, but switched to the brackets.
Very solid … no worries.
Thank you all! I did not even see that warning. That is what I get. I will say these things are very solid. They pass the drop test. Fortunately it fell flat on the wood floor which also has a mat on it.
Exactly that. This topic is a warning on top of a warning
