For the past two days the Alpha and Bravo devices were working fine. Now all of a sudden, they aren’t working and I’m getting a "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) driver error. I have done multiple reboots, downloaded driver from Honeycomb, swapped out my cabling and plugged other things into those USB ports and they power up and work just fine. My computer is brand new and I’ve made no changes to it. This is very frustrating, can anyone please help? Thanks in advance!
It’s most likely the new update. I’m having a WIDE variety of issues since the update with the 747. My saitek panels that are similar to the switches on your honeycomb have been on crack for 3 days now.
Couple things to try. When it is connected, is it shown in the device list of W10? If so, delete the device from the list.
Instruction:
Uninstall the USB Driver in Device Manager. Press the Windows + R keys on your keyboard at the same time to bring up the Run utility. Type in “devmgmt. … Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers section, then select the Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed ) from the list.
Plug out the device, restart W10. After the restart, plugin the device again and let it reinstall the device again. Try first with default W10 driver if that works.
After that, try to calibrate the device in W10 itself (whilest MSFS not running)
Also possible that windows usb power management can give this message. Option in power profile within windows setting. Set the profile to high power and disable Windows 10’s ‘USB selective suspend’.
Set the profile to high power and disable Windows 10’s ‘USB selective suspend’. And also check in device manager usb device that it unchecked there also
here is a link that i found with some suggested fixes…I had a problem with one of my flight panels and turning off fast boot solved it for me. hope you get it sorted out
