Hey all,
I just received the Alpha/Bravo pack. Really nice kit and a joy to fly with. Not sure what’s going on here with the bindings so thought I would ask the group.
Before you read any further (because I know people are going to ask) ALL bindings for the switches on the Bravo have been deleted on all profiles that I have in the sim.
Essentially, none of the light switches on the Alpha, except for Beacon, do anything with the Bravo plugged in. However, if I play with the switches on the bravo, setting certain switches to the high position allows the light switches to work correctly on the Alpha in the game. As I said above, all bindings for the switches on the Bravo are deleted, so something else is going on behind the scenes where these switches are bound to something that I don’t have access to or know how to get to. It appears that default bindings on the Bravo are mapped to light switches, but deleting the bindings in game seems to have no effect. Furthermore, I can still rebind any of the switches on the Bravo to other functions and they work fine, but they are still secondarily bound to the lights for some unknown reason.
This happens on all aircraft. I’ll say it one more time just in case, all bindings (that I can find) for the Bravo switches are deleted and cleared. I picked up Axis and Ohs and downloaded the config for PMDG and was hoping it would fix this but the issue is still there.
Any ideas?
I have had the Alpha/Bravo combination for a while now and the switch assignments across both are puzzling. The only thing I have done and you don’t mention is installing the drivers from the Honeycomb site - which places the “bridge” in your Community folder. Other than that, I can’t help - if that’s any help!
Thanks for the reply! I did install the Honeycomb drivers when I got the setup and Bridge is in the community folder. What does Bridge do exactly?
Yeah I’ve got profiles for single, multi, and airliner. Switches on the Bravo are still somehow bound to lights even though I’ve deleted those bindings on all profiles.
On your Bravo, search in msfs control bindings by the “on button / key press” option, and check each rocker switch in both the up and down position (each rocker switch is essentially a separate button in the up and down position) .
You may have cleared the toggle lights ON, with the switch flipped up initially, but maybe you didn’t clear the toggle lights off with the switch flipped down?

Just for information, recently I’ve noticed that after a PC reboot the bravo lights don’t work the first time I run MSFS, i have to restart the sim and then they work fine, the same applies to my FSRealistic autostart, it only autostarts after the second time i run MSFS. I’m not sure exactly when this behaviour started, it used to work fine.

Great suggestion! I will definitely double check this. I feel like I did already but I’m not super sure. I will update when I get a chance to try this tonight!

Interesting. I noticed last night the LEDs weren’t working. I’ll see if mine works after a second running.

I have the same problem!
First run no lights. Shutdown msfs, restart and all is fine.
SOLVED!
This was it! Thanks so much for the suggestion. It didn’t occur to me that there would be secondary bindings on the down positions. Works perfect now! Cheers!
