Honeycomb Alpha yoke doesn't have state detection in 2024

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
In MSFS2020, loading the sim while using the Honeycomb Alpha would cause some sort of “switch state checking” so that whatever switches were “on” while I was in the menu would be “on” when I got into the sim. Now, in 2024, the sim ignores all switch positions when it loads. For example, if I have the HCA’s Battery and Alternator switches in the ON position and load a C172 “cold and dark”, the sim will load with those switches in the OFF position and I’ll have to toggle the physical switches twice. In MSFS2020, the sim loads with the switches matching the physical switch position on the HCA.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
I have zero mods in 2024.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Use the Honeycomb Alpha yoke peripheral. Start in the Free Flight or Main Menu. Set a variety of switches to the ON position (doesn’t matter which, Battery, Alternator, Avionics, Beacon light, etc.)
  2. Load a C172 G1000 in a GA Parking spot
  3. Get in the plane.
  4. Observe the position of the switches. The game switches will ALL be OFF regardless of the Honeycomb Alpha’s physical switch position. The magneto switch in game will also ignore the physical position of the HCA’s magneto switch.

This issue also works in the reverse. You can set all the HCA switches to OFF, load a C172 in mid-flight and the “expected” in-game switches will be ON (Battery, Alternator, AvBus1, AvBus2, Strobe light, and mags are set to Both).

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• I am seeing this with my Thrustmaster Boeing TCA yoke. I have the gear switch assigned to “Set Parking Brake. If I have that switch in the position to set the parking brake, upon C&D load, the brake is not set. Like the OP, I must toggle the switch to set the parking brake.
