Ahh I hear ya, I tend to build lots of PC’s around 20 a year for people and friends, more as a hobby than anything else, been doing it for 40 years. Mac’s are excellent until the fail or have a problem, there is very little you can do with them, but with a PC you can easily gut it, replace bits, change the OS to whatever you like, so I’ve always been a PC fan over a Mac.
So I was finally able to check out the bravo throttle on a PC and when I connected it, it was fully functional.
I then repeated the usb cord testing but used brand new cords for the test, in hope that I could find the issue on my own and not have to return the unit to Honeycomb for repair. It turns out the usb-c to usb-c cable from the XPC hub to the Alpha yoke, and a subsequent test cable were not working properly. I ran the cord test twice and found 2 of 4 test usb-c cords were defective.
I have replaced all the cords with new, working versions. The new cords have restored the bravo quadrant functions and lights.
It is a bit strange that the default cable that came with the xpc hub just went “bad” after a year and a half and that a second test cord was defective as well….
Anyway, I’m back in operation.
One issue of note is that Aerosoft.com and Honeycomb have an affiliation and their customer support response time is pretty decent. Both Honeycomb and Aerosoft responded within 24 hours of contact and were eager to help.
So glad you got it all sorted
I’ve bought recently Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo with USB hub for my Xbox X console.
I’m using MFS2024 and I’ve notice the following problems:
- sometimes light for Master Warning is flickering, only for this light and not during the flight. I’ve tested during the flight and it sems to work well, I’ve switch off Master Alt and I got Master Warning turn on and looking good. I did similar test for Master Caution by switch off Master Bat and I got Master Caution turn on and looking good.
- Lights for door and parking brake works well.
- I’ve try to set switches, above lights, but Xbox doesn’t see any of them. Maybe somebody was able to do so, still there might be a defect on my Bravo.
- The buttons on top sims to work except first rotary switch, the consol doesn’t see him, the rotary switch on the right works well.
On Honeycomb web page there is an info that “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - The new driver is landing soon!” can I assume that drivers for Honeycomb for Xbox will be updated soon too?
I am experiencing a similar issue. along with MSFT 2020 losing throttle settings that have to be constantly reset. In addition, the Charlie pedals occasionally loose connection to the rudder and the USB cable has to be removed and reinserted. The parking brake works and lights as well.
I hope that this is just an Xbox X issue, as I have just ordered a costly windows computer to be used with Flight Sim.
I’ve gotten the impression that as far as Flight Sim is concerned, the Xbox is an orphan product that is being overlooked, while the PC version appears to be of primary concern.
Hello, I too am using the Bravo with the Xbox X and flight sim 2020. I consider your scenario somewhat lucky, since I can only get the NAV light to flicker on the Bravo. The ‘AP on’ works and lights, and I can move the compass bug in a G1000 equipped aircraft, but that’s all, nothing else seems to work, no ALT, etc. I have had to remove and re-install the USB cable from the Honeycomb hub in order to get my Charlie pedals working.
As for 2024, I surrendered and gave up using it altogether. I hope that these issues are strictly related to the Xbox version of 2020, since I have a PC on order designed specifically for sim use.

Hello,
I’ve tried the described connection approach several times—using Honeycomb Bravo— with varying results. And now I find that if I leave the XboxX untouched for a few days the Flight sim 2020 settings are either lost or altered. For example, The Cessna 172 or Cirrus R22 throttle may work for awhile, but after a day or so the throttle is not only reversed, but advancing the throttle results in increased RPM’s to a certain point and then it decreases RPM’s when it should go to 100%. I have cleared settings and rescanned, all to no avail, and there do not appear to be any conflicting settings. I know that I shouldn’t say the following, but I have been using Xplane 12 for awhile and I have never encountered the above issues. While I would like to continue with MSFT Flight Sim I am preplexed and frustrated, and I don’t even want to begin complaining about 2024. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Addendum:
I feel like I am beating a dead horse with this topic, but I am totally fed up with the Honeycomb Bravo and Xbox X on 2020. Initially, some of the lights, particularly the gear light, would consistently light, but now that feature is kaput on all aircraft. Furthermore, I am having a throttle issue, where I feel like I am fighting a ghost who has its hand on the throttle lever—Cessna 172—and is decreasing throttle when I am attempting to increase it. I can find no conflicting bindings to throttle axis L 1, and yet it the issue persists with the 172 when in the World Map scenario. Yet, training with the 152 does not appear to have this problem. I tried a different USB cable from the Bravo to the hub, all to no avail. And after reading a multitude of posts I doubt that the problem is the Bravo, leaving only the Xbox as the proximate cause. I should add that when I first began to use the Xbox and MSFT sim 2020 I did not encounter this issue, so this suggests a level of instability in the system, since I have not made any changes that should or would have been responsible. I am ready to kick the Xbox to the curb and wait, as I have a PC on order that is not due to ship before 3/10. If any of you Xbox, flight sim experts—I am definitely not an expert—have a curative suggestion I would be most grateful

Does the honeycom bravo autopilot work or still the same problem with flickering and no programmable autopilot buttons (MSFS2020, Xbox X) ?
