It works perfectly until about two minutes in the air. Something takes over and puts us at almost full throttle and NOTHING I do can get me out of it. I disabled all the stuff in pilot assistance, what else am I missing?
Search all your mappings for āthrottleā. Probably youāre hitting a key or control that is double mapped to full throttle or something.
Moved to Community Support, Hardware & Peripherals. Honeycomb-Bravo for better visibility.
Nope, I checked all of them. It did it in the msfs 747 and in Captain Sim 777. It happens about the same time and never comes back.
sounds like some weird USB energy saver behavior of windows (āUSB enhanced power managementā) shutting off the device after that period of time.
If you can find VID&PID of the Honeycomb devices and feel confident fiddling in your registry you may try:
The manual procedure to disable the enhanced power management is as follows:
- In the properties of the device in Device Manager find Device Instance Path which is VID&PID&Instance ID
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB (using regedit)
- Locate the subkey whose name contains the VID and PID from the path
- Expand the subkey that matches the Instance ID from the path
- Expand the subkey Device Parameters
- Change the value EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled to 0
- Unplug and replug the device in the same USB port. Note that the Device Instance changes when the USB port is changed
I used that to fix problems with Saitek devices that stopped working ā¦

I am willing to try this if itās clear to you that everything else works fine with the quadrant, long after the throttle stops responding. This includes flaps, trim and spoilers, though that is all I have configured so far with the quadrant. Will this fix of yours apply in this case that everything else is still working?
Last night I flew again and it took much much longer for the throttle to stop responding. The first few times it was approximately the same point in the flight.
Nothing is working here. It is something that works fine for a while, then stops working, then starts again. Sometimes if I unplug it, it resets and the throttles start working again. But then they stop. I have switched to usb 3.1 inputs and still no luck. No peripherals have anything assigned to the throttles.
Have been off a few days ā¦ I can only report that the Saitek multipanel I had problems with, also was not completely infunctional, but only very unstable.
I have the same problem, but only with certain planes, in particular the C172 (gauges).
I just had the same issue. To fix it (at least on the 747), go into cockpit view and switch off the āA/T armā switch (Towards the top left of the instrument panel). This will disengage the autothrottle and as a result your throttles should work.
