Honeycombe and Microsoft Partnership

Great to see Honeycombe making dedicated controllers ect for the XBox Seriess X\S when MSFS launches on the XBOX ; Partnership Series: Honeycomb Aeronautical - YouTube

I think that is part of the reason you cannot find their product anywhere on the shelves. They will sell a ton of them to XBox players.

But what does ā€œpartnershipā€ actually mean? Given that the yoke causes the 10 degree bug and there is no fix in sight even now, it obviously doesn’t mean ā€œguaranteed to work 100%ā€.

Not that any kind of official partnership should be required to fix a long standing bug in the first place of course!

It would be great to have a sim that works properly first before you try to sell us what your partners are selling.

Love my yoke, but you are correct… You’d think they’d be given better access/expedite issues with a partnership.

Multiple times discussed. The 10 increment steps is not caused by honeycomb! Happens with all hardware that has ON/OFF switches.

Plz stop spreading false information.

What false information, we have Honeycomb yokes and it is in fact causing the issue. None of us said it is only those yokes that do it nor did we say it was honeycombs fault, for us it is the cause whether you like it or not. It does not change anything I’ve said at all.

Maybe try reading the posts title. Maybe you believe a Honeycomb partnership should not give us the expectation that the yoke would work 100% properly with the sim, then that is your prerogative. But false information? No.

Remove all key bindings from the yoke box (not the yoke handle but the box only) and this bug is fixed

I have the Alpha and I use the mouse wheel quite happily for 10 degree changes, and mouse clicks for finer 1 degree changes.
I’ve heard that this isn’t the case for all simmers, but it works great like that for me. And I haven’t had to make any binding changes.
Maybe I’ve just lucked out.

I think that’s the case for all of us actually.

The bug isn’t fixed, but it’s a workaround if you don’t want the functions of the switches built into the yoke…

@LiablePants0 If you also own the Mooney you can’t click for single digits as it causes a CTD which is also really annoying but another topic.

Edit: Hey, willya look at this Honeycomb and the 10 degree bug

Did you have to change the mouse settings to achieve this? My, in cockpit mouse controls are:
mouse wheel - zoom. Right button - up/down, left right. Mouse pointer over Trim R button (hand symbol) Mouse wheel to change in 10 degree steps. Hold down L button, move mouse for ā€˜small’ changes.

Didn’t have to make any changes to mouse settings at all.

Posted a link to a good vid on a related topic, which explains this.
As I’ve said, I actually find it useful, and I guess I’ve just gotten used to mitigating the trimming issue that goes along with this.
