Every landing is a chaotic struggle to keep the aircraft on glide slope yet alone flare properly upon landing - I’ve tested this with both default aircraft and 3rd party payware aircraft both on high demanding airports and smaller less demanding airports that would draw fps… I didnt had this issue w…

I’m also seeing spikes in RdrThread frametimes during landings - usually just after touchdown. TLOD 50 OLOD 200. I’m on SU3 beta. I’ve been thinking that too many objects, or buildings - or both - are loading in at the same time, hammering the RdrThread. I did a couple of tests (with CapFrameX) at…

I decided to try making my video again, this time comparing frame gen on and off. With frame gen on, the problem seems to be amplified. Interestingly enough this issue only really became a huge problem with SU2 when FSR became an option in settings - so I think I’m going to keep it off for now and…

Yep, in my opinion they shouldn’t have released SU2 like this. There are many regressions and this is one of them. I just don’t see the point of beta testing if regressions are reported and then just released anyway. I’m sick of companies just releasing things that aren’t ready. It just makes for …

Agree. I can’t use FS2024 until they fix this performance on landing issue for what I normally fly (airliners). I also don’t have the option of FS2020 any more (uninstalled and now too big to download over my ADSL) so I’m currently using XP12 instead! Which is someplace I never thought I’d be 6 mont…

The issues in RdrThread are not related to frame generation as I have them as well and I have it all off.

FYI, w.r.t. RdrThread, see: [image] What is RdrThread and why is it nuclearly destroying performance on my system? Install, Performance & Graphics 1 tag is requred - add it in the tag section next to the title above: One for iteration ( msfs-2020 or msfs-2024 )…

Between the CTDs in SU2 and SU3 beta and the FPS drop when landing, I’m having a hard time trying to be motivated to fly.

[image] Hambone747: I’m having a hard time trying to be motivated to fly In FS2024 that is currently my case too, until I can see 20fps (before using FG) on touchdown at any airport. It was fine in SU1 and fine in early builds of SU2. Now we’ve had several SU2 beta updates, a SU2 release and …

Went back to SU2 and it‘s mostly ok for me since I spawn at the destination airport first and look around a while in drone view before I start my flight.

I haven’t tried that out, but we really shouldn’t have to do that ahead of setting up a flight. The thing is it happens with locally stored airports, so it isn’t just a streaming thing. It is as somone else suggested previously I think an LOD thing with airport assets. Things getting a boost in LOD…
