Up to 21GB download now and no sign of stopping, Patch 4 was the only patch that never made me download the whole sim again?
Other people have had this issue before too, what gives?
Do I just let it keep downloading for hours again, or?

Its going to be all night again, scared to stop it in case it corrupts the sim ???
Mine was 7.5GB, maybe itās bugged and reinstalling the entire sim.

for me it was around 350MB from steam for the launcher, then around 7GB for the patch.
Some small packages from the content manager (less than 100MB I think) and it was done.

The patch is 7gb. If youāre at 32gb youāve got a problem.

41GB and still going now, sigh, Patch 4 was the only one that downloaded the correct amount for me, patch 1 2 and 3 made me download the whole sim again, and now once again it looks that way too
you didnāt click on any āverify file integrityā sort of option in your store of choice did you? If you click this on Steam it will verify the files of the launcher only, and force the sim to re-download all the content (including the core package).

No, did not do anything like that that Iām aware about unless I have unknowingly set an option to do that as default somehow? Patch 4 was the only one that downloaded the correct size so far, never bought from Steam but did consider that, bought the full version from MS Store and its installed on a new 2 TB SSD I bought especially for FS2020 ā¦ shrugs ā¦ I did get fed up and closed things down, found a Win10 OS update, then saw a new Nvidia driver released today so grabbed that too ā¦ nothing to do with this problem I know, then after re-boot fired up FS2020 again and it still wants to carry on from the 50 GB or so I downloaded an hour or so ago again
Iāll let it run its course now.
Building a new PC soon and once built and yet another fresh install of the whole sim again, perhaps this peculiar problem of complete sim downloads for patches will be gone forever ā¦ I really hope so

It was a ~900Mb download from the MS Store, and around 7GB in the sim.

Its done another 30 GB + download now and is on the decompressing phase, not long now I hope!
Hope I do not see this bogus massive download for a smaller patch problem again though.
Yeah, I sometimes wonder if they are looking at the download size, the uncompressed size or what. For many issues reported I wonāt bother offering a hint if there is no picture at least. Guessing helps no one.

Seen reports and screenshots of this bogus patch size issue before too. Its effected me on 4 of the 5 patches now.
Its an issue regardless, so with or without any of your hintās or not, weāll get through this, thanks for no help whatsoever though this time and thanks to those that tried, much appreciated.
Iām there now after another massive bogus patch install though, LOL new build PC build coming up, sincerely hope I never see this bug again, thankfully I have decent internet speed at last.

Itās 1Gb for the lobby/launcher (which is honestly insanely high for what it does) plus 6 Gb for the update, so you are having a problem.

The new launcher does now show the download speed as well as the number of packages it has downloaded as well as the total number of packages
6.4Gb for me, and I like it now shows you the download speed and the number of files remaining.

The Patch should be another full re-install for the sixth time since August. 
I have downloaded 54.42 GB of useless garbage already and still countingā¦
C# Garbage Collector is definitely needed here and a new SSD. Who will pay for it?
P.S. I am reading RELEASE NOTES 1.10.7.0 for the second day now.

Yes I was the same, was the same for 4 of the 5 patches so far inc this one, finally got it after a near full sim download again last night, its a peculiar bug that effects a few of us for some reason?
Am very PC tech savy, might be doing something wrong but cant think what?
In any case by time of next patch should have my new build PC up and running, wonder if it will effect that too, weāll see.
Oh and I wish Asobo would consider hot fixes for minor bugs instead of waiting a month or so for a bigger patch ā¦ moan over
We have what we have though and do enjoy the sim.
