Hi guys, i see that in my VR settings the “Nvidia Reflex low latency” is not activated. I have a RTX 4090 and HAGS is turn on. How can i activate this option? i am still not conected to any VR headset since i am waiting this to arrive but i guess this setting can be activated even without having a VR headset conected right?
Hmm, the setting should apply to both PC and VR (you just set it on the PC side), so you’re on DX12 already. Do you have frame generation on? I have a 3080Ti, so don’t have that to try and it’s the only thing I can think of that might grey that out?
For VR you might need to turn off Frame Generation if you want to run Reflex Low Latency to ON+BOOST while using VR. Frame generation won’t help in VR anyway, so it’s no loss I don’t think (DLSS 3 FG for VR is pretty much how reprojection works anyway).
Let us know if it works, I don’t have a 4xxx series to try it on, so if you’re on DX12 already then basically just my best guess as something to see if it works .
For PCVR I believe if you already have the following recommended nvidia control panel settings; power = prefer max performance and VR pre-rendered frames = 1 (default); then I don’t think you need to worry about that nividia reflex low latency option because in VR you’re already covered. In any case I think if you have those nvidia cp setting in VR whatever you select will likely switch to off after you go in/out of this menu a few times.
I read that turning the reflex low latency on freezes MSFS when exiting VR, I tried it and it froze on my system. So if that happens to you: that’s the cause.
Hey sorry, I just noticed that I confused this setting with “NVIDIA Optical Flow Accfeleration” in the OpenXR Tools. I think you’re good with the reflex setting.
