How can I completely disable ATC and stop AI or whatever interfering with my radios in MSFS 2024

Is there anyone that can tell me exactly what settings to change in 2024 to fully disable ATC and to stop the aircraft changing frequencies and transponder on its own?

I tried to do it but it’s still meddling with my radios and can’t therefore use vatsim.

I don’t know of one to disable ATC, but to stop the copilot doing coms, go to Assistances Settings, near the very end of the list, turn off AI Radio Communications (ATC).

Character Voice to 0 did it for me

Options > Assitance Options > User Experience : should be ATC option to turn off
General Options > Accessibility > Subtitles: Turn those off just in case

I’ve turned all possible assists off and my radios are still changing on themselves, this happens to default and 3rd party aircraft.

Is it possible you have a keybind that is doing this? I had the same issue and was getting super frustrated but I ended up changing my quickviews to the 1-9 keys which also had bindings for ATC responses even when the ATC window wasn’t up or active. I kept pressing 2 for my overhead view which was changing the COM to ATIS every time.

Yes, you have to key bind to toggle the guidance indicators.

Ooh. Will investigate this. This could be it.

Oh my days. This actually solved it for me. Was driving me crazy! Thanks so much.

I’m amazed this isn’t more prevalent? Surely everyone changes the bindings to just the numbers? Who wants to press Alt + Number or whatever it is every time they want to change views!

I´m sorry to bother you , but what you did exactly that shuts this demoniac voice off permanently???

This was my best option so it wouldn’t interfere with my 3rd party ATC software: Settings> Sound> Volume Level: Characters Voices: 0.
In Accessibility> Subtitles> OFF

For me it was the number keybinds that I was using for changing custom views. They were also used for atc responses even though the window wasn’t open etc.

So I would do was PR1164 says and also make sure that the atc responses are unbinded.

Same issue here.

Settings> Sound> Volume Level: Characters Voices: 0

Love that this topic is listed as “Solved” when the only workaround is to turn Character Volume = 0…. Inexcusable bug that only the community can solve. Par for the course.

Note: The keybind fix is not a solution. I did not have any hardware, keyboard, or mouse bound to anything ATC related and have this issue constantly.
