Game’s updating. I set bandwidth limit to 5mbit/s, because I used my phone data before. Now it will download for 3 days or so for only 2GB. And I can’t seem to find a way to enter the game without it updating, so I can disable the limiter in the settings.
So I thought I could delete a settings file/folder. Deleted wgs Folder in SystemAppdata. New settings on startup, but then it updates in 5mbit/s again. And I looked for UserOpt.cfg, but it’s only video settings.
So idk a way to delete that settings file, without opening the game at all. I don’t want to wait 3 days for a 2GB download, common sense for everyone to understand.
You can try to delete the wgs folder. This should reset your data limit but also delete your scenery data.
Here’s how to delete the “wgs” folder:
Open File Explorer: You can do this by pressing the Windows key + E on your keyboard.
Navigate to the AppData folder: This folder is usually hidden. To access it, you can type %appdata% in the address bar of File Explorer and press Enter.
Locate the Microsoft Flight Simulator folder: This folder should be within the AppData folder.
Find the “wgs” folder: It should be inside the Microsoft Flight Simulator folder.
Delete the “wgs” folder: Right-click on the folder and select “Delete”.
Please note that deleting the “wgs” folder will reset your downloaded scenery data, so you will need to download it again when you next launch the game. This may take some time, depending on your internet connection speed and the amount of data that needs to be downloaded.
I apologize in advance if this type of thing isn’t allowed.
