How can i use reverse Thrust on the new Thrustmaster Airbus Quadrant

Using the same setup as @ATPL2006. Only issues I have right now is a non functional MODE NORM and some thrust in idle.

yep that is exactly it. So I currently assigned button just below the CRANCK word to put the switch back to NORM.
Again just a workaround though. I just hope they’ll fix this with the upcoming patch. Aerosoft has implemented it in the Airbus Pro planes, and Toliss has also implemented it. It would be a bad move if Asobo doesn’t get this fixed with the next patch. Just my opinion though

@ATPL2006 do you also have some thrust in idle position? It‘s not much, but enough to start rolling on ground.

yeah i have this too. But at least it gets close to idle. Its either this or have 20% of thrust, or don’t use the reverse part and just use the throttle from 0 - 100 like a normal throttle. I just hope Asobo fixes this.

Thx for confirmation @ATPL2006

Thanks, it works fine.

I have made guide on reddit how to make reverse to work like it should. https://www.reddit.com/r/MicrosoftFlightSim/comments/jglul8/tutorial_how_to_set_up_your_tca_quadrant_using/

Ok, so I think I’ve figured out how to get the quadrant reverse throttles working for Microsoft Flight Sim 2020. Here goes:

  1. Go into the controls option screen and then select the TCA Q-END controller column.
  2. Change the filter to show “All” rather than “ASSIGNED”.
  3. Goto the Power Management \ Throttle section and scroll to the bottom and find “HOLD THROTTLE REVERSE THRUST”
  4. Using both of the available columns, use the “select input” method to map buttons 12 and 16

Notes:

  • when you lift the reverse lever on the left throttle that then allows you to slide it down into the reverse section of its movement, when it hits bottom this is actually the quadrants “button 12”,and likewise for the right side throttle maps to button 16.
  • therefore during the game once you touch down and land, by lfting the levers and moving both throttles down into the reverse throttle position you actually “click” buttons 12 and 16 which will then “trigger” the hold reverse throttle.
  • When you move the throttles back forward into the zero position the reverse throttle stops.

This seems to work perfectly and as you’d expect. Hope this made sense and works for all of you.

reverse thrust function works fine with xplane. Hopefully an update to make it work with
msfs 20 soon

Can’t believe it still doesn’t work out the box, just picked it up today and as mentioned

Your solution works but doesnt take into account that the physical “Idle” position still has 20% thrust.
The combination of your solution with the initial issue is that you activate reverse trust while applying between 0 and 20% thrust.

So problem still not fixed, I have attempted to work out ATPL solution but since the update on sensitivity setting it gives jitters in the idle position of the throttle in the simulator.
