Like many I have been struck by the poor FPS performance of MSFS 2024 and have to dial quality back to get good FPS. One of my other hobbies is astrophotography which uses a lot of AI in image processing. My gaming platform has turned out to be a great astroimaging platform because of the 3070 GPU and the Cuda Cores. Here is the standard astroimaging software (PixInsight) in action at AI noise reduction. It is 10x faster with the CUDA Cores.
I have yet to see any activity on this monitor with MSFS 2024. Now I know that this is primarily a computational component used in BitCoin mining also, but has MS left money on the table not taking advantage of all this expensive capacity in our cards?
If anyone sees their CUDA markers budge, I stand happily corrected, but I have some experience in flight simulation and in the past the computations are part of the overall throughput and maybe they could harness this capability.
