Today I have been doing a test with the resource consumption of the simulators that are currently on the market, and I have confirmed why I love X-Plane 11. I do not understand how a software that has been on the market for a few years, may be giving such amazing results, and another (MSFS2020) that is developed with the latest current technology is not able to obtain similar results. Currently the Asobo-MS product has already been on the market for two years and I think we should have already experienced a notable improvement in its operation, but unfortunately it seems that the product is stagnant in terms of performance
Sorry you are seeing a different FS2020 than me.
Agree, i purchased top hardware, but still having issues with frame rate and smoothness !
So I understand that with your MSFS 2020 you are getting a consumption of resources and frames, similar to these?
I get a better sim than when i first did by a long way.
I take back what I said - I just downloaded the SU10 beta and have a higher framerate 5FPS + better smoothness in VR. still testing, but looks promising.
You have the same screenshot twice in your post and it’s unclear what point you’re trying to make.
Either way, a general statement that will apply is that XPlane is not the same as FS2020 from a graphical fidelity standpoint to streaming global textures to other things such as live weather/traffic, etc.
If you’re happy with the features and functionality that XPlane offers on your hardware, it’s right there for you to use.
If you’re not happy with FS2020 then you can either tweak the plethora of settings available to you to get the performance characteristics you’re after, or, just not use it.
