I search for sometimes hours (literally). Hell, given the bugs, there are a few who I’m not even sure are there! What can I do to improve my helicopiter SAR system, so I don’t have to spend all my time looking for people. I certainly don’t mind doing it a little bit, but it gets old after a while. As always, help is appreciated. Thanks.

I fly straight up the guts and look either side, when I get to the end of the search area I chuck a right and start doing the outter circle looking in. I am always mindful of the other side of the mountain. I keep doing that and work my way in.
I’ve flown over people and not seen them on the first run, sometimes position is key. I always look back for a different perspective.
I use VR for SAR now.
This is my latest mission, you can see what to look for (Smoke), this was right infront of me and I almost missed it.
