How do I choose my flight type?

How do I choose a flight type in MSFS2024? In 2020, there is a drop-down below the aircraft selection which is VFR by default and supports screen narrator.

I’m guessing the only way to do this in 2024 is via the EFB overlay, which is not yet narrated with screen narration? I’m annoyed with selecting the 737 max and always loading in VFR. Not to mention I’m forced to start on the runway because walkarounds aren’t accessible but also unrealistic for an airliner.

The MS web planner is…doable, at it’s worst. I can make a plan, save it, but where does it save to exactly? How would I then load the plan into the sim? Again, 2020 has various methods to load plans, including via computer or cloud. Do we really have only one option in this sim? I’d also like to be able to load both PLNs and other route files for the specific aircraft so that the G1000, for example will work properly with the autopilot.
