Where are add-ons installed and how do I delete them so that I can do a total fresh install of MSFS? I have looked in all places that I thought they would be. Many thanks

You posted in Forum Guides. That is where people post tutorials, not ask for help. I have moved your post because it deals with installation.
If you purchased your addons outside of the Marketplace there will be a few places to look.
- Your community folder
- Control Panel (add/remove)
If you purchased within Marketplace, go to your Content Manager within the sim and remove.
Your Community Folder (by default) will be here
MS Store:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community
Steam:
C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Packages\Community

You can copy and paste that into the bar at the top of any Windows Explorer window.
