How do I get the Baro Ref?
I’m just a bit confused can anyone help me
thanks

Once loaded in to the SIM you can press the B key on the keyboard and it should set the current pressure for where you are.

If you want to do it manually you can use various resources on the WEB to look at Metar’s. Or you can open the weather on the toolbar and look up the closet Metar.

okie will try!

Refer to the charts for the local airport and use the ATIS or ASOS information, tuned on your COM radio to get the altimeter reading. You can also find this electronically/online through METAR data available on the internet.

In some cases, you may not have an ATIS or other weather information for an airport. Think of an uncontrolled airport. If you know the field elevation, you can dial that into the altimeter and get an “approximate” pressure altitude reading.

This works quite well, if ATIS not available and no ATC,I’ll grab the airport information chart from Navigraph and set my Baro so the elevation matches field, then get update BARO readings from ATC en route.

Ideally you’d get it from ATIS and ATC.

The B key is in the-game cheat to set the baro. If you’re ok with that, then that’s fine. If you want to do it in a more realistic way, what @skypilotYTS described is the way I tend to do it. It won’t get you an exact reading, but close enough.

Be aware that I’ve had fairly frequent times when I tuned to ATIS or AWOS frequencies specified on navigraph charts (using navigraph navdata) and heard nothing; in that scenario I hit B and carry on with my life
