How do I hide aircraft systems info in outside camera mode?

msfs-2020

Since my setting in MSFS 2020 were reset themselves and I don’t want to display any anger and frustration it caused me… I just need help and I can’t find a relevant topic:

How do I hide these aircraft systems info in the outside camera mode?

I have set the piloting and everything else to HARD, yet I am annoyed by the appearance of these and I don’t remember how I hid them five years ago. Please help. Thanks.

Thanks a million!

I have shut the system off. I’ll see if I can ever log back in to do what’s advised.

Hi there, Captain,

I flew today since my conundrum. Thanks to you it has been addressed.

I need some more help: the ATC is quiet! I have set it to Azure but it’s totally gone. I have revisited all settings with regard to ATC, they are all on, yet… Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Install English (United States) language via Time&Language > Language & Region > add a language.

Restart PC.

Launch MSFS 2020 - in Sound settings, change ATC text to speech from Azure to Offline, and save the changes - needed for testing purposes if there is any issue with communication between your PC and Microsoft services. So you are changing from Azure to Offline for testing purposes.

Apply and Save.

Go to the Assistance settings and make sure that in the Piloting section, “AI radio communications” is set to off.

Apply and Save.

In the User Experience section, make sure that ATC Voices is on; if not, turn it on and apply and save.

Thanks a million! You’re a lifesaver!

I’ll do as advised and report back.

However, I remember this much that i had to do none of this over five years ago since I have been using this simulator. The ATC had always been there, sometimes even annoyingly so, but it was there. Now it’s so quiet like the End of Days.

Nonetheless, I’ll follow your advice definitely. I was just curious why this MO now when I didn’t do any of it in the beginning.

Thanks.

  1. I set the ATC to offline and it’s working.
  2. The other two advised settings are already as advised. The Assistance is in HARD. All of them. Just a confirmation.

How do I get the Azure to work now?

Azure works for me with the settings I mentioned above. The important thing is that it works for you in Offline mode - as for Azure, it might be some bug. I know there used to be a bug, and I have no idea if they’ve fixed it.

Also, antivirus software, your router, and possibly other Windows settings can have an impact. That part you’ll need to check on your own.

Hmmm… OK. Thanks a lot. You have been so benevolent! I am indebted and humbled.

Regards.

Try this. See my forumpost here about this from November 2023. Click on the blue link to my message.

Thanks a lot for this. I found the solution by trial and error.

I am not in the sim, so I don’t recall what the exact menu is called, but where the traffic is, the option of Online Players was set by default, and that was causing the issue. I changed it to All Players, and now I am getting the ATC. Weird solution, but it worked.

I also found out that I could not change the time of day. It was greyed out. But the above change also fixed that.
