How do I reinstall MSFS without installing world updates all over again

Just install the base game (standard/premium/deluxe) without world updates! WU’s are not mandatory! You can install them (via the marketplace) whenever you want!

thats what i want to avoid , I want the world updates but will lose them all if I do reinstallation in the way I have done before. then the whole reinstallation of world updates is so painstakingly long

Did you set a custom path for your content folder?

If you have done that, then the base reinstallation of the sim won’t affect all your downloaded content.

When you first start the newly reinstalled sim, you point it to your custom path for the content and you’re set.

There are many advantages in having the downloaded content, i.e. packages (and community folder) in a separate location to the default location assigned at the time of installation. Perhaps the biggest advantage is in relation to having to perform a re-install of the sim. If the content is in the ‘default’ location and MSFS is ever uninstalled then all the downloaded content and community folder will get wiped.
