How do I set up my plane in a fix position?

Hi,
How do I set up a fix point and an altitude at start…I would like to replicate multiple challenging landings… for instance LGKR, I would like to set plane at DIREX at 4000 ft…how do I do it? I know I can do it with FSTramp, or PRO SIm but can I do it directly from MSFS2020?
Many thanks

Hi there,
Welcome back!
I have moved your post to Community Support. We ask that people not use General Discussion for asking support questions.
Community Support has three subcategories:

  • Aviation, Navigation, Communication: For anything related to flying the aircraft
  • Tech Support: For anything related to CTDs, graphics, hardware, etc.
  • Menus & Activities: For anything that takes place inside the menus, like flight planning or the Marketplace. Plus activities like landing challenges, etc.

So, I put your topic in Menus & Activities.

If you only fill in the destination, it will put you on final in the air for that airport.

As @Pieter2427 said, but when you select your arrival airport, make sure you also check the “Nav log” box to make sure you’ve set the altitude you want to start at before beginning the flights. It sometimes sets you way too high.

Hi,
where do I find the “Nav log” box?
Thanks

…or even better… how do I set up <the correct altitude in the Nav Log?

Hi,
is there anyway to change the altitude in the Navlog (which I’ve found in the meantime,)?
Thanks

Once you’ve got the flight set up, you should be able to just click in the nav log box and just change the number to whatever you want in the upper right corner. I’ve never found a way to change the actual leg segments in that section.
