How do I start the Cessna Citation Longitude in MSFS 2024?

I am trying to startup the Engine. However after the APU start and checking that I have 32 PSI I set the Engine 1 to Run and click the Button next to it (the one that should light up with the white). However when pressing the Button nothing happens. I can press and hold it and I can see the N2% goes up but as soon as I lift the finger from the mouse button it goes black again and the N2% goes back to zero.

What am I doing wrong ? I am following this tutorial:

Thanks a lot!

I made this video and just tried a start from a cold and dark cockpit and everything worked as expected. After starting the APU, the left engine button was selected to RUN and the left starter was engaged. The same process was followed with the right side. The only way I could duplicate what you explained was by selecting RUN on the left engine and then starting the right engine with the right engine switch in STOP.

Tried i t again, still no luck. However I noticed that at the time you press the Start Engine Button if I see it correctly the GRAVITY XFLOW right to the throttle is set to NORM. For me this is set to CLOSED and I cannot change it when clicking it.

Gravity XFlow is disabled on the ground and should be in the closed position on the ground. That button can only be changed to open in the air and that is one of two ways to transfer fuel in the event of a fuel imbalance. This is to prevent fuel from transferring from one side of the airplane to the other when on unlevel ground or when turning while taxiing.

Can you take a screen shot of the center pedestal and center screen just before the start process is ready to be started?

I created a little Video of my Startup procedure beginning from exterior view. Hope that helps and you can spot what I might be doing wrong.

I am not sure why it won’t start. You may have already done this but push the stop/run button the left engine to run and press the left starter button. Then, do the same on the right engine. My video was made with MSFS 2020 but it’s the same airplane, but it could be a bug in MSFS 2024.

Update - Try this - Hold the left starter button for 2 seconds instead of just clicking it quickly once and see if that does the trick after pressing the run/stop button.

This is the way! It’s been changed.

Your the man  I pressed and hold the button before but for to long and the thing exploded. If I just hold it until Ignition IGN comes up everything is fine.

Thanks a lot!

You are welcome and I am happy it works for you now. I had to reach out directly to someone on the Working Title team for help on this issue.
