How do you get simbrief into aircraft on MSFS 2024?

I used simbrief dispatch for MSFS 2024 and generated a flight plan and imported it into MSFS 2024. How do you get the simbrief flight plan into the aircraft so the aircraft will follow the flight plan? I don’t understand that after generating the flight plan and then importing it using the simbrief dispatch through the EFB how to get that simbrief plan into the aircraft so that the autopilot will follow the flight plan.

It depends on the plane your using. When I tried it on the C172, it straight imported it into the C172’s avionics the second you click import route. But if your using an inibuilds plane like A330 or Beluga, you still have to use the planes EFB to import the plan from simbrief after you use the simbrief dispatch app MSFS24’s EFB to import the flight plan. Its a little confusing

What plane are you using it with?

Ok, what planes does it work in? Can you please tell me the steps to do it. It’s a little confusing.

I foud that with C172 G1000 I was only getting the first leg imported… in MSFS 2020 the entired FP was imported … am I missing something?

I’m having the same issue. :unamused:

I think there’s a little confusion. You can only import plans from simbrief that have simbrief integration such as Inibuild’s A320neo and PMDG etc. You cannot use MSFS’s EFB or flight plan with these planes unless they in the future incorporate this option. Planes that don’t have simbrief integration can only use the in-sim EFB. Some planes have both, like LVFR’s planes. I hope more 3rd party devs integrate both.

i cant get this to work…using the default A321 in MS2024…when i clock “download from simbrief” on the EFB it just says “downloading from simbrief” but nothing happens, never loads anything…
I have created the flight in Simbrief online and also setup the simbrief download utility, no luck

You need to do an Init Request on the MCDU.
Init button on MCDU, then Init request.

Found the info in a YT video (in french) : " MSFS 2024 : Airbus Beluga XL démarrage et vol complet"

To be honest, it’s not working very well (I can load the FP to the MCDU but I can’t make AP following the FP …)

Navigraph Charts In-Game Panel, Navigraph Charts, and SimBrief are now available if you have Navigraph Hub. The current versions available are named:
“Navigraph Charts In-Game Panel v8.6-beta.2”
“Navigraph EFB Charts App v1.0.0-beta.1”
“SimBrief EFB App v1.0.0-beta.4”
The apps in the EFB will be listed in under the miscellaneous icon at the bottom of the EFB (the 3x3 dots icon)
EDIT: the in-game panel appears to be the app that allows you to bring up Jeppesen Charts on the MFD in the G1000.

Following my prev post (geez post editing here is a real pain) : you also need to enter manually Departure and Arriva in the MCDU

Yes i figured this too. B747 cannot integrate with simbrief, have to use just EFB. But still i have issues on simbrief with A330. It loads in, transfer, but nothing can see on plane FMC.

Yeah there’s more to it. Been a while since I’ve flown Inibuids planes but If I remember right, you have to send it to the FMC from inside their EFB or request it from the FMC, I forget which.

Yes thats correct. Did it via EFB. Last time i tried to fly, there was one flight route on compass on left corner, and one in my FMC. Maybe because i tried import from simbrief and used EFB too.
I dont know how long i like to try best possible way just to get correct FP to the plane and finslly fly .

It’s a learning process. Usually with imported simbrief plans, you’ll still have to enter the departure runway procedures and arrival runway approaches into the FMC, then check your route map and make sure everything looks good and you have no flight discontinuities. If you’re in 2024 and flying an ILS approach, you’ll have to manually enter the frequency into the nav radio because of a bug. Like I said, a learning process. Good luck.

Thanks, that dep and arrival i did. Good you told that freq u need manually insert. Would be nice to know from Asobo, which planes simbrief working and which ESB. But now as you said is a learning process because so many bugs

If the plane developer is Microsoft/Asobo, they’ll use the in sim EFB. Inibuilds definitely use Simbrief only for now. Others developers I’m not so sure.

I am trying to load a Generated Simbrief FP into a G1000 MFD. I can see the FP in the Flight Plan Catalogue but I cannot seem to be able to select it.
Using the G1000 in MSFS2020 I could select the FP by rotating the small FMS button and then pressing ENT.
How does this work in FS2024?

Any solution on this yet? In the Cows DA42 G1000 and the FlightFX Vision Jet SF50 i see the simbrief plan in the catalogue. But when clicking on “Import” there´s only the loading circle, no import. When trying to import the simbrief plan via the simbrief EFB app it says “flight plan imported” but also nothing happens. 2024 would work fine now, but the 1000s of issues are stlll sooooooo annoying.

I haven’t figured this out either, especially the interplay between a Simbrief plan vs. a loaded .pln plan. It seems that if a Simbrief plan has been loaded, the Import function does not always work. Has anyone figured out when it works and when it doesn’t? Or does it always work for you?

If a .pln flight plan is then loaded and a Send to Avionics done, it does not overwrite the Simbrief plan. (And sometimes loading a .pln works, and sometimes not – haven’t figured out what makes it work). Can we expect a consistent behavior or am I missing something here?

Are you hitting ‘Send to Avionics’ after you import the fp? Once the import is done you need to go back to the MSFS flight plan page in the EFB (not the Simbrief one) and scroll down to the bottom and hit ‘Send to Avionics’ and it should appear in the a/c. I haven’t tried it with the SF50 but so far it’s worked on all the aircraft I’ve tried it in.
