After selecting the Approach in the flight plan page, I can program the LOC frequency in the FMS. However, how do I input the ILS identifier?
By entering ILS identifier on RADNAV page. But normally ILS should be filled automatically when you select ILS approach in the Arrival page. I am on the way to KBOS and everything you see on the first picture was already there.
Even though I have selected my destination rwy in the Flight Plan, the ILS identifier and frequency never get filled in. I can add the ILS frequency but not the ILS identifier, Can you point to my error?
Are you using Navigraph AIRAC Data? They had a bug during the first release of the latest AIRAC cycle 2410 that caused issues inputting ILS details, and have since fixed it in an update.

I have found that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. But I’m wondering if there is a pattern. Try setting up the arrival when you are in the air and not when you are on the ground at your departure airport. I think it only works if you are in the air
To add a bit further to this, I think if you have a third-party airport as your destination, the info does not get filled in automatically. I experienced this when flying into a third-party KEWR. It will work, however, if you fill the info in manually.

I noticed this at Tenerife GCTS which I have the MK studios addon for. But on that one, you enter ILS runway 7 and it inputs the code for runway 25
Not, 3rd party airport is not a problem. I landed at KBOS from Fly Tampa and ILS into was filled automatically.
Yes I should add to mine that all other 3rd party airports I have are fine
