How do you navigate the toolbar with the joystick?

Hi
For the life of me I can’t get my hat switch to control the toolbar

I have got a button to make it show but I can’t do anything with it
I currently have set:
Toolbar panel move up etc
Previous/ next toolbar panel.
Cursor up etc

The above doesn’t work.

I couldn’t see anything for select or back only select 1-4

Any ideas what am I doing wrong? I am trying to not to need a m&K if possible.

Thanks!

Never heard of the hat switch being used with that menu although no doubt it may be possible. You’re just going to have to use the mouse.

As far as i know you need to use a mouse or keyboard.

Ah, righto

I’m used to Elite Dangerous in VR where everything is controlled by joystick inputs.

Was hoping I could do the same in MSFS but knowing that I can’t do saves me looking.

I’m just confused as to what those controls listed above do as the panel toggle works as expected but the others don’t seem to do anything. Hence why I think I am doing something wrong.

I learned long ago that none of your above commands do anything when I assign them to controllers. And, like you wrote, the command that does work is Hide/Show Toolbar. And I have assigned it to my Warthog throttle box. Also the command to show/hide the flight map works. As does the command to show/hide the ATC window. I also have those assigned to one of the many toggles available on my Warthog throttle box.

Anyway, your description of the what works and what does not, agrees with what I have found.

I have the Warthog throttle on left, Alpha yoke in the middle, and a flight throttle on the right (the Beta throttle is a good one for that). The Alpha yoke is narrow which leaves lots and lots of room on the left and right areas off to the sides from the yoke. And I placed something 1/4 inch thick on top the Alpha to enable it to hold a keyboard flat but slanted up on the back for easy typing on the keyboard on top of the yoke.

Other MSFS commands that are on the overhead that do work great are the drone camera speed and drone camera yaw speed commands. When I hold a Warthog hat forward, then both the drone camera speed and drone yaw camera speed keeps increasing gradually as I hold the hat forward. They both are increasing. If I move the hat backward then the drone speeds slow down gradually. I can see the speeds changing while I hold the hat forward or back.

So I don’t have to use the toolbar or the mouse to change the drone camera speeds. I just move a hat by wiggling my finger.
