msfs-2024 How do speed up the flight on MSFS 2024? There’s some long flights and I was wondering how you can speed up the flight in MSFS 2024, I know in MSFS 2020 you can put where you want the flight to be like at descent, etc. from the upper taskbar. I guess we are just spoiled on how MSFS 2020 works. It’s much easier than MSFS 2020.
Search the control settings for sim rate. I had to make bindings for increase and decrease, and they are not as granular as FS20. There’s also a default bind as ALT+R that sounds like it should open a sim rate window or something, but that does nothing for me.

Binding to sim rate increase/decrease is the only way. Also, the PFD clock in FS2020 would speed up or slow down to give you a clue as to what speed you were set at (1x, 2x, 4x, etc). This is not the case in 2024. The only way to tell is to use stopwatch inside the EFB. There is no other indication or way to display what your current sim rate is.
I use the sim rate by pressing ALT+R and then num + & num - to speed up or slow down. There is no indicator of what the current sim rate is so to get to normal rate I just press num- like 10 times to be sure I’m in the lowest rate and then 4 times num+ to get to normal rate. It’s a bit annoying but works.
