How does the dynamic settings option interact with the preset?

Hi, I have a question about VR settings. How does the dynamic settings option interact with the preset configuration, for example, “high”? Does it dynamically modify the “high” setting based on the load to try to achieve those frames, or is it something independent that adjusts the resolution? How do both settings interact? Thanks!

I believe that this feature is still nothing functional. I don’t see any changes to Performance when testing it on or off.

I posted my findings here: Which FPS is the Dynamic Setting targeting? - #3 by Sailando

Probably it lowers LOD, OLOD or texture resolution to prevent FPS dropping below the set value. For example when you normally fly with 30-40 FPS with your normal settings and then you enter area with dense traffic or complex photogrammetry, and you dynamic setting is 25 FPS, as soon as your FPS starts dropping below 25 FPS, this feature will dynamically lower some parameters to keep you above the set value.
I say this theoretically, I never tested it, but it was mentioned by Sebastian (Asobo CEO) in the November developer video.

I’m not seeing significant differences from messing with LOD and OLOD like in 2020.
