I’m wondering because there’s still a lot of addons I would like to download and have active.
I currently use MSFS Addons Linker, and I have 905 + 72 + 10 addons visible and active (72+10 are purchased ones from ORBX, Aerosoft and similar).
In Content Manager 1351 addons/folders shows as installed (I’m guessing the difference account for MS and Asobo folders).
Anyone able to push this number any higher?
I had issues a few months ago with Content Manager getting stuck and not showing anything (I guess the magic number was around 1200 folders in total), and I tried dividing into US+World or Europe+World - but it was a bit of a hassle. Later on I enabled everything, and things went back to normal.
Oh, nice. XBox the limit appears to be about 450 because more than that, and the sim would just spin at startup, requiring me to delete the whole install and reinstall again. So now that I am switching to PC, I’m glad to see that it is higher.
People who do jetliners, they want the aircraft that has the most realism. They want VATSIM. They try to make the endeavor as realistic as possible. And I get that.
A bush pilot and explorer, they want to explore the world. It’s like when you were a kid and the parents took the whole family on a family drive, you would explore and see the area. Well, with bush pilots, the whole world is “the area”. I like my world as real as possible. Give me one good bush plane, and realistic scenery, and I’m off exploring the world.
Two very different ways to use the sim, but both equally as valid. One group wants more realistic planes. The other group wants more realistic scenery, and really only needs one really good bush plane (with the variants such as floats, etc).
