I have a slightly better than mid-range computer, and with an average of high graphics settings, I generally run at 25-30 fps. I’ve found the sim to be nicely usable at > 20 fps. Like most of us, frame rates do drop at times, for me, they will dip to the low teens, and occasionally lower.
What I did was to map the Pause On and Pause Off functions (not to be confused with Active Pause) to P and Ctrl-P, respectively, and when the stutters hit, I just pause and then restart the sim when the rates go back into the 20s.
Now if I could only solve the much too often urctbase.dll related CTDs!
