How I Just got the A320 Mod working

Im not saying it will for everybody, I have been having the same issues as everybody else,

Here is what I did

  1. Using the content manager Deleted the Vanilla Airbus
  2. Deleted the Mod
  3. Closed MSFS
  4. Opened MSFS reinstalled the Airbus then closed MSFS
  5. Download the Latest dev build of the MOD from GitHub not the downloader
  6. Stared a flight Cold & Dark (used sim brief for the plan)
  7. As soon as the plane loaded cold & Dark I saved the flight, then loaded it as per the work around on discord
  8. Did all the pre flight.
    This might be the important Bit!!!
  9. Start the engines with CTRL+E so get to the point you want to start the engines but dont flip any switches just press CTRL+E
  10. Once you take off if it is not following the flight plan go to the FMC and Press the DIR key (Direct To) and choose a way point about 3 on from where you are, confirm it and this has got it following the plan every time for me.

Optional

If you have a registered version of FSUIPC then make sure you tick “Eliminate Control Spikes” for all the Axis, I think this negates the need for high dead zones!

As you can see from my screen shot it is 99% working…it is a little to the right of the plan, but it is following it and no death dives.

EDIT****

Turn off SEC 1 if the plane is doing the left & right roll at CRZ, not really SOP as it controls the Elevators in certain flight Law, but none of this ideal really, but it seems to be ok for me

Or you could just save youself all tha trouble and install the dev build instead of the public release.

I did install the dev build. But had troubles anyway!
Re read Point 5.

No matter what I did before this (Always using the dev build) it would not follow the flight plan, and or death dive.

Are you saying it works for you, straight no messing around. A lot of people are having issues, and they have tried the dev builds. What’s special about yours? when the guys who made the mod are stumped themselves?

I missed that in your steps. My bad.

I was just talking to my son about this about 1/2 hour before you made your post and asking him about the A320, since he flies the A320Nx exclusively. He was telling me all he had to do was get the dev version of the mod and everything worked fine for him. It’s odd you have to go through all these steps.

Basically you can start from step 6.
If you join the FBW discord, the workaround is in the known issues.

Oh ok, thanks. I did try that yesterday, but had two issues.

1, It didn’t follow the flight plan no matter what.
2. I kept getting an Engine out, APU on or not.
