Did three mission and i am really worried about this… When i will be able to fly a small jet, or a commercial flight in career mode?..
Like after one year playing?
I got a life and a real job to take care of…
If you mean airliners, I would say around 50 hours of career time (if you do the “first flight” or “photo” missions with care > meaning above A grade). I reached the first airliner mission today and now there is plenty of “airliner flights” on my career map. I play quite intensely during week end and the last two days but I think 50-60 hours give you a goal to the career mode. If you want to fly the vision jet, this is even possible sooner (as soon as you have access the second VIP specialization and have your jet type rating). The only bad side is that in term of airliners, only the 737 max 8 is available at the moment. I had no major bugs with them (only that you will have to be careful to put a good setting for the elevator take off trim)
If folks aspire to flying jets, may I suggest a few skills to build as much as your career, flying time and interest permits?
-
Strive to stay ahead of the airplane: Plan and anticipate. Increase the number of miles that you can think ahead of what is coming next, and what you have to do next to keep the flight on track.
-
Learn to fly “Attitude.” Attitude + Power = Performance. In practice, one pitches to a particular airspeed, and applies or pulls back on power to change altitude. This is the KEY to flying jets.
-
Related to the above, know a few V speeds for your aircraft. Knowing the target airspeed for each phase of flight allows you to fly attitude and make that formula work for your flying.
And of course, have fun!
