How much money must we spend on this SIM to get it to run nice?

You are right about that. I forgot that everything is on their servers and it’s important they do the mesh/terrain improvements! Well, I just think they need to focus on the Sim itself first and get the physics, flight dynamics, weather, AI, and PERFORMANCE right before WUs!

We are not the only ones.

I have GSX and AIG, although I am not using AIG anymore.

Hello, I did 6-7 hours of multi-leg flights and got no issues. After uninstalling the FSLTL, and not loading any AI plane, the Sim was significantly smoother. Still a little worse than it was before WU11 but much better than yesterday when I got a slide show at the end of about 5 hours of flying with FSLTL. It also appears to me that GSX Pro needs a restart somewhere along the line and that improves FPS. Hopefully Asobo will figure out AI, clearing up cache frequently, and improving FPS/stutters as a result. When I have AI traffic injected through AIG or FSLTL, after multi legs of flight and returning to the original airport, I get planes stacked up on top of each other at one location and that itself shows something is not being deleted/optimized throughout the game. You would thing the system will delete all the AI planes somewhere along the line and reproduce them from scratch as you get close to them again!

I think I am going to try AI on line, with AIG models. I dont think FSLTL works with AI online? This looks like as in the post above, SIMCONNECT has an issue.

Yeah, FSLTL has it’s own way of doing online traffic as it gets the data from Flighradar24 so you would have AI off in the sim.

Sorry I meant, Online AI from the sim, not off line, I have it off when using FSLTL or AIG.

Yeah, I know that, I had issue with AIG and now using FSLTL for couple months (lucky to be one of the tester).
There is also posibility using FSLTL without Traffic Injector - just turning AI Traffic ON in the sim setting and not turning on the injector. In that case FSLTL will not fallow Radar24 just Asobo online traffic with FSLTL liveries and models - this have not additional impact at all.
I will try this today also to check how this will impact on my system.
Anyway I’m like 99% sure this is not traffic problem. There must be some black hole in the sim coding eating my pc resources after SU10 and we are not only one.

Edit: I just thinking now probably the best way to test all of this is take down all add-ons just keep one plane and try. If I still will have issues with stuttering on the landing airport or with closing MSFS I will open ticket.

Yeah. Beware of sitting at a major airport with FSLTL open. If the AI has pathing issues they stock up and crash my frames.

But this could very well be sloppy taxi line layout by the creator of the airport.

Something I noticed, if I fly an airliner into an airport I will get that issue, but if I fly a GA in I won’t, be that plane payware and default. To test this I flew into KLAX with the default Baron from Flagstaff (UK2000 scenery) so it should be far enough away that none of the scenery around KLAX loads and it was fine.

I then did it with the Turbo Arrow and again it was fine. I ran out of time, but I will try an airliner tonight and I guess it will all go to hell again. If so what could this be? I have tried the Fenix/FBW and both had the issue, I will try tonight with either the MD80/PMDG/CRJ and see, Live AI only traffic as well.

My initial thoughts are that coming in at 145kts vs coming in at 70-80Kts gives the scenery time to load?? Also the GA flights were good, the odd stutter and freeze but no problems good FPS.

Ok. So my question is: did you try without DLSS and DX12? I was on DLSS and DX12 first two days after SU10 and performance was a lot better even before Nvidia update driver. After that I started to have these issues. Very very strange. Now I have this problem TAA or DLSS, DX12 or DX11. That’s why I running sim on TAA and back to DX11. More testing tonight

same, my landings are impossible in this SU10, just before touchdown my sim always freezing and lag, and in task manager i see msfs not responding at this moment.
no matter the type of aircraft i tested with cessna 152, fenix, pmdg, crj, modded airport or not always the same.
i even tested with ALL in low in graphics options+ with and whitout dlss and dx12 + without : mods, weather, traffic, multiplayer, phottogrammetry, bing and internet always laggy and freezy during approach and landing. :unamused:

but takeoff and taxi are smooth

DX11 + TAA, no DLSS or DX12

I have a 3090 hence no fps improvement with DLSS. However in heavy clouds I’ve had an fps increase of nearly 50% by switching from TAA to DLSS.

I did too, but now I am having this issue where the destination Airport does not load I am trying out new things. I had mind blowing performance in the SU10 Beta and just after, but since then something has changed that and my sim is just terrible at the moment.

My 3090 was killing it before, but now I may as well have a 3DFX Voodoo 1 when I am landing :frowning:

Can anyone help please my son plays on series S beta version and loves it but the graphics render sooooo slowly it getting hard to play - is there anything i can do to improve performance? he is on a 42 inch 4k TV are there settings i should be adjusting? would improving our internet speed help or is that a waste of time? thanks for any replies folks

Hmm, running MSFS in 4K is not unrealistic at all. It might be if you have a low to mid grade PC, but with a high end PC such as a 5800X3D, it shouldn’t be a problem. Not unless there is something causing the bad performance.

With my setup and now DX12, I’m running 60+ fps with Ultra preset and 4K. And that’s with Fenix A320. I never go below 50 fps. The only thing for me is that I do not run any traffic. But that only shaves off about 5-7 fps for me.

At the end, you have to find out what is causing the performance drops. Many times, it’s not the sim, but some add on or something else. Also, find out what works best for your hardware. I found that by disabling virtualization and hyperthreading and even Ecores improved my performance by almost 10-15 fps more. Here is a thread I did on this.

Yes, start fresh and go adding one by one until you find the issue.

Hmmm I’ve played the sim in both 2K and 4K resolutions, and 4K is a BIG difference for me.
There’s just no way I can go back to 2K. I fly only airliners so to have that crisp details inside cockpit is very important.

I agree completely. I’m on a 77" OLED and my rig can handle 4K fine. Occasionally I switch to DLSS for improved performance in heavy clouds, but I’ve never tried TAA 1440p, don’t see the point, really.

Oh boy that brings back strong memories of Screamer 2!!
