How’s your CRJ experience going?

Two things: The TOP button is START. The bottom is STOP. You need to do the Tutorial. Seriously.
Start Engine 2, when you monitor the initial spool-up, unlock the throttle and move to Idle position.

The FMC does NOT get the flight plan from the world map planner - you have to manually enter it.

Use SimBrief to generate a flight plan. Save it as PLN. Load that PLN in world map… Then once you are in the FMC, enter the same plan into the system. Use airways.

Awesome sim aircraft though, going to be one of my favorites of all time I can tell. Nice SkyCam pics…lol

Reminds me of the glovebox in the XP11 172.

Same here 10-15 less with CRJ
Eat a lot of CPU

Anyone also having thrust issues with the TCA throttle? I calibrated them correctly and all the detens and reverse is mapped correctly but when on idle (on TCA throttle and also in virtual cockpit) the engines power around 35%

Here is the solution.

Some more observations. My CH quadrant calibrated perfectly and is usable as a reverse for the first time since I bought it really. My performance hit in VR is no worse than any other similar aircraft. Maybe better. Visually ridiculous. The VR implementation is really pretty good…I have seen some nightmares. It has some cool features all the way around. I could actually go on and on. I have had a few CTDs but I am a fiddler, it is what I do, and I was well at it each time. I think this is a fantastic aircraft for the price, and I am giving huge kudos to the entire Aerosoft team. Well done folks, this thing freaking rocks!

I’m still going through the manuals and trying different things out. But this aircraft looks promising. Well worth the gift cards I got for Christmas.

Have not done a full flight yet.

I’m getting surprisingly good FPS with a 1080Ti 12Gb - comparable to the stock A320 in the game.

However, none of my switch mappings work on the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo ( sorted the throttle calibration issue ) but the Flap axis is wacked and doesn’t seem to be adjustable. ( goes from zero to full flaps in less than 10% of the range of motion ) AP buttons on the Bravo sorta work, but the knobs don’t.

Are the switch mappings a known issue?
Kinda odd, since Aerosoft did the drivers for the Honeycomb.

Your GPU has a lot more VRAM than my 3060ti although that doesn’t seem to be a bottleneck.
Whats the fps you’re getting on average in the CRJ?

30-40 ish… i do have the stutter issue from the last update that kicks in after flying for 30 minutes or doing multiple flights without restarting ( but that has nothing to do with the CRJ )…

flight load times are noticeably longer with the CRJ though…

I’ve had three successful flights in the CRJ, after spending lots of time reviewing the manual. Funny how things just work when you follow the right steps.

whats your CPU like, you seem to have slightly better performance than mine

i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz
32Gb RAM

I’d give more credit to having good settings in game. ULTRA where it counts, and dropping a lot of other stuff down or off. Also running in 4k with those FPS.

i have lower fps and im running at only 1080p :frowning: this is really weird my CPU is the fastest single core on the market (5600x) yet I get terrible performance ONLY in the CRJ

what’s the rest of your system?

oh - I do have render scaling at 80% - that helps my setup quite a bit…

5600x @4.7
3060ti
16GB RAM
Windows 10 2004 all updated etc.

The issue is only with the CRJ, I get 60fps in GA planes, 45fps in A320NX. I understand its a complicated plane but I get 30fps in the CRJ at 1080p not even running full ultra settings just a mix between medium, high and ultra… (And this fps issue is NOT related to the bugs introduced in World Update 3, those are quite random and my fps drops to 10). It’s a great plane I’m just dissapointed with its perfomance that is all…

weird - I’d think you’d get about the same FPS as the A320.

I know the Lionheart Trinidad has serious FPS drops in the cockpit view, but every other plane like it is fine. IDK

Completely disappointed.

Care to elaborate more as to why?

This is what you need. I’ve been learning all day through these & the manuals.
