Greetings, I’m using a DualSense controller and am needing a solution to map the analog sticks to button functionality. I have been able to do this for years utilizing a DualShock 3 controller and the old MotionInJoy software. However it is no longer supported and is buggy and contains malware.
I am seeking to be able to bind the Right Stick Y+ and Y- axes to buttons with a repeating function to get finite or incremental throttle control. As it’s set now the throttle returns to idle every time. Any thoughts on how to do this?
You can try THROTTLE X INCREASE and THROTTLE X DECREASE where X is the Throttle Axis Number. If a single engine, Try X=1. No guarantees it will work. Sometimes the detected controller input may be considered incompatible and it won’t let you map it that way.

You can also check out an application called Authentikit.
I use it to map the button press style of trim wheel movement to an axis for quicker smoother response but it does all kinds of button and axes mapping.
Did you ever get a message about Vjoy not being present?
No, but that’s probably because I read the whole page first
This software and all its prerequises are completely free to use. You’ll need vJoy 2.2.1.1 if you’re on Windows 10, or vJoy 2.1.9.1 if you’re on Windows 11, then you can install in and run the AuthentiKit Tuning App
Just google for vJoy on whichever version of Windows you are on and install.
