How to Call Up External Views

Im not sure why I cant make a post … so no idea how to ask questions on here. I see you can access multiple camera angles… Like look at the plane from the outside while landing.

You seem to be a TL1, if you are still having issues creating topics take a look at Why Can't I Create a Topic?

Cheers!

Have you been able to add me as a friend?

New problem, but since I cant make a post to ask for help Im putting it here. By the way, no idea how a new person gets help if they cant make a post !!!
So my new gpu should be here tomorrow… I hope. I paid for 40th anniversary on steam…premium edition. But could not download it due to not enough room on my MSI laptop…/ hence getting the new computer.
Now since I have the book MSFS X for real world pilots I bought for 8 bucks a mint condtion gold version of X plus it has the accelerator disc. I just installed it. It actually only took about a hour.
It gave 3 choicesl… Im a pilot, Im backl ( experienced in other versions) and Im New. Of course I clicked that. It ran a video of planes landing. I exited the program as that is all it kept doing. NOW when I click on the program shortcut , ( I have not seen program files on acomputer in years) or if I type it in search on start win 11, no matter how I try to load X version I JUST installed, it pulls up ■■■■■■■■ steam, logs me in, and takes to the page for 40th anniversary saying I dont have enough disc space to install it. Yea, I know that ! why I got a new computer to run 40th. Im trying to check out X version installed on this laptop. Yet, It just keeps taking me to steam instead of loading X which is on my ■■■■ computer . This is more than frustrating. I dont have patience for this non sense. why I dont play computer games to begin with. Anyone know how on earth to get x to just load up so I can be be endlessly more confused by the actual program?

Hello @RedRaven4231965

I checked your profile to see what Trust Level you are at (you can do this by looking in your Profile > Main Page > “Trust Level”)

…and you should be able to create a topic. If you look here: Why Can’t I Create a Topic? there is some troubleshooting you can do to figure out why you cannot create a topic.

Cheers! :airplane:

Also, when you say X, do you mean FSX? Bit confused on what you mean

It’s because you are in the root category. You need to go into a subcategory. Posting in the root isn’t allowed as it wouldn’t show up in subcategories.

Thanks, my mistake.

As far as starting FSX, you should use FSX.exe. By default, it should be in the C:\Program Files\FSX folder, but it depends on where you chose to install it. You should be able to find FSX.exe with the search tool.

Why not just fly FS2020 on your new computer?

As I understand it, things are different is FSX and I rally like the book I got that uses it. FSX for real pilots. Good lessons in that book. Plus I can put FSX on my old computer as use it nowl
