Is there any way to have ATC use a specific call sign for you? IE - when flying the PMDG 737, I’ll pick for example a Southwest livery. For the entire flight, I’m refered to as “Southwest 737”. Anything I can do to change the call sign to an actual flight number?
2 options.
- Amend the aircraft.cfg file for the livery in your community folder.
- Amend the callsign in the callsign option which is just under the livery selection menu in the sim.
From experience the FBW allows the ATC to pick up callsign from simbrief flight plan but PMDG it doesn’t, so choose one of the options above.

As mentioned above, there are a few ways to do this.
The sim is organized so that the first thing it looks at is, as mentioned above, any entry in the aircraft livery selection found under the “customization” tab.
If there is no entry there, again as mentioned above, it will look in the specific Aircraft.cfg file for any entry after the words: atc_airline=, and atc_flight_number=
If there is nothing there, it will use the info entered in the flight planning software.
