Hi, coming from FSX (but not played for years) I recall that I could bring up a menu bar across the top of the screen. I can’t recall the keys, think it was Alt “something”. Can this be done in MSFS?
Also, changing the aircraft internal instrument view from the real world view that seems to the default, is that possible in MSFS? How?
Is there any reading on this sort of thing?

You can change views in the cockpit with Cntrl+1,2, 3, etc. These are default views. You can create any view you want by adjusting the view with the up, dn, rt, left arrows then press Cntrl+Alt+any digit. From then on pressing Alt and the digit will bring up that custom view.
