How to disable autotrim?

Hi.
How do I disable the auto trim function? It looks as if MSFS does it with all of the airplanes on its own, and it doesn’t allow me to do it with my joystick buttons.
Could somebody possibly help?

Hi @Ignis555 - two things:

1. You can change your topic title by clicking the pencil icon next to the title at the top of this page.

2. Check the sim menu under assistance. I suspect there will be an option there to disable auto-trim. I don’t know if it will be explicitly called that, but if you are comfortable flying your own aircraft you will probably enjoy flying with the majority of assistants turned off.

Tried it and could not find it, only auto mixture, but now that I think of, I think I saw it somewhere back in March when I got the sim…
If anyone finds where the option is I would much appreciate it

Easiest way is to set the assistance to Hard/True to Life for the whole thing. That way you can be sure that all the assistance is completely off. AI Copilot should be off as well, because they could fight against you when both of you are flying.

If you’re flying the A320, then it’s autotrim by default. That’s their FlyByWire philosophy. But for every other aircraft, they’re subject to the assist settings, I think.
