I want to play/install FS on a high end gaming system but it has fairly slow internet. I have very fast internet at another home. Can I download FS on the fast internet computer and transfer it over to the gaming system with modest internet? Is it as simple as downloading/installing the installation to a portable SSD and installing that SSD as a dedicated FS drive in the gaming computer?
Any simple ways to accomplish this.
I’m on the Microsoft Store version. It’ll be different for Steam.
For mine all I have to do is copy everything in the ‘Onestore’ folder that’s in the ‘Official’ folder to the new machine.
When installing on the new machine you’ll probably need to start the set up so it creates the folder strucuture, then stop soon after, delete what’s already in the Onestore folder and do your paste.
The new machine will start up like it’s always been there.
It’s a great relief this is possible with this game, as it doesn’t work for most other Microsoft stuff. It would be the best part of a week to redownload for me.
Thanks but where do I find the Onestore folder. I’m also using Microsoft store download and don’t see the folder.
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official
It’s right beside the Community folder. (Hidden Items needs to be enabled to get to AppData
