I would love more info on the diversity and locations of animals. They talked about it breifly in a recent dev twitch session but still not enough.
1- Why some species in the World photographer mode are not spread over as in real world (ex. wolf, polar bear) ?
2- Why some species are available in the SDK but not in the World photographer mode and maybe not at all in the sim? (ex. Caribou/reindeer as integrated in one of my sceneries bellow)
In the simulation previews it shows a number of instances of wild life. Is there a list of places to look because I haven’t seen anything yet.
Make sure animals is enabled. Secondly the map you see when you start with the circles allegedly shows where the greater concentration of them are. I will add however, I never seem to find the one’s I select in the choices but always find different ones. Yeah, sometimes you have to search for ages. You also find animals that ordinarily do not inhabit that area. Like camels seem to be everywhere!
I saw some birds fly off the runway while taxiing at my home airport once but that was about it. Have not seen anything else both in 2020 and 2024.
I’ve had cattle running away from me as I was taxiing about the airport. It was pretty cool to see them react to my operations.
I have seen randomly cows, horses, sheep. If you fly a low and slow bush plane around the Okavango delta area of Botswana you will see large African fauna, and, yes, they react to your plane and run away - but not too far.
In real life Australia kangaroos are pretty much everywhere. Walk 5 mins from my place in the capital city and I will see 10’s of them. In msfs2024 they are as rare as hens teeth even in locations that in real life contain hundreds or thousands.
