It looks like you just requested a taxi clearance - if you do that before getting an IFR clearance it implies you’re departing VFR. Did it give you an option to request an IFR clearance prior to that?

I’ve been flying the Baron a lot recently using Simbrief flight plans and have been able to get IFR clearance every time
Here’s my process:
Import Simbrief FP into the GTN
On EFB flight plan page request FP from avionics
On EFB Send FP to ATC
Open ATC window and Request IFR clearance is an option. Might have to change to ground or clearance but it’s always been on one or the other.
Hope this helps.
I’m on Xbox X using SU5
Moved to User Support Hub for community assistance.
Also make sure EFB is set for IFR not VFR

I never had to use the EFB before. ?
How is this done? Sorry noob question. Thanks
On the left of sim EFB, just go to 3rd tab down and select IFR. Sometimes it will already be there especially if you have a passenger jet or if you have chosen a SID or STAR. Just ensure before sending to ATC. Usually you get the option for IFR clearance then before preparing for taxi.

No much depends on what setup you have and are using but it’s a step i take to ensure ATC offers me ifr clearance.
