How to identify cities in flight?

Hi Delfin,

Of course. You cannot import a flight plan, you can however add multiple waypoints manually by long pressing on a map location. These waypoints can also be moved or deleted once set. That’s about it.

For VFR flights I use the app primarily to have the iPad as a moving map that I can zoom in and out of to know exactly where I am, see highways and other ground features and the names of towns.

When on long IFR flights using autopilot I use my iPhone to monitor flight progress when I’m away from my flight sim rig elsewhere in the house or garden that is within WiFi range. I’ll post some screen grabs from both iPhone and iPad to illustrate when I next fly.

Before I had LittleNavMap I used Google Earth Pro with this tracker utility GitHub - baumhoto/FSBingMapsConnect: Send Flight Simulator Plane Position to Windows Bing Maps App

Early days… don’t know if that still works.

Now that my lovely wifey has bought me the JF arrow as a birthday present I shall simply just open the window and grab the attention of the next passerby

Hi @BRITinUS

Well, this time you have made the effort to inform me, both with text and with pictures of the aircraft on the various maps. Again I thank you but after struggling with LittleNavMap and seeing its enormous potential, I have definitely decided to use in my short flight plans, this tool. It is frankly formidable and very intuitive (although it doesn’t seem so at first). Moreover, it has an extraordinary user’s manual.
For your effort: thank you very much.
Kind regards: Delfin

Hi @ArcaniPython931
Again you insist on sending me information? Well again I thank you doubly.
No, I’m not going to try any more tools to plan flights. With what you have suggested (LittleNavMap), I have more than enough. This program is really good. It should be called, not LittleNavMap, but “BIG NavMap.”

I am in love with everything on Google maps, etc. Their scenarios are unique and extraordinarily accurate and rigorous, it was a shame Microsoft didn’t hire Google to use their scenarios.

Well, Google even has a… ”flight simulator?”, But without airplanes, I’ve had it for years, but without airplanes or sound? Things change radically. The plane is a fundamental piece in this game.

Once again, thank you very much for your insistence
Kind regards: Delfin
