How to Improve Landing on Airliners on PC using Xbox Controller

Hey everyone I’m fairly new to flightsim. I’ve always been interested in it but finally got a PC good enough to run it enjoyably.

I mainly enjoy flying airliners, currently have the PMDG 737-800, and planning on getting 777, a320 family, and a350 soon.

I know it’s not the most immersive, but I’m using an Xbox Controller on my PC for takeoffs and landings and generally things are fine. My problem is when coming in on Landing I suck at doing Manual landings even after setting up an ILS approach and following the glide slope. Is it a problem with my controller sensitivity? I’m running into Hard Landings (300-550 fpm). Ideally I want to get it <200fpm

How can I improve my Xbox controller Landings? Any help is appreciated
